Just got the Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX589W on 09/15/09
Look at customer pictures so, you can see my set up.
now I am working to get a bigger Tv tho...

After an 30 mins of installation and speakers set up
I finally got to see and hear what this monster got

God! I don't regret the money I paid for it
It took me about a week to decide which brand to get. I even went to Bestbuy and another stores to check the systems but when I tried this one I know it was the one

I dont want to specify what the system brings because some others already did
I will just give you my experience words when using this system

1) Movies : Looks beautiful
2) Ps3 : it takes you to another level because you can appreciate every single sound and pixel
3) cable box: you dont need to attach anything else other than a optical cable to it
that;s all

you will love the DAV-HDX589W system no matter what other people say.

note: if you want to test the system sound and image

use the star war movie or bad boy 2 ( the shooting part in the beggining)

I am very pleased with the end result of combining my Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX589W home theater with my recently purchased sony bravia TV. I purposely bought both units from the same brand (SONY) to enjoy the combination of controls & options offered by having both be the same brand. Installation was easy,owner's manual was very instructive. the system has far more features than I expected for the dollars invested. The maximum volume is a little less than I would have liked but it certainly is adequate for most situations. again for the reasonable price I am very satisfied.

This sound system I bought was good but not good enough for it's price. I regreted buying after I saw my friend's sound system in his house. The surround sound isn't that good. For example you barely hear the back speakers. My friend bought a philips from costco and it's amazing. So far if this one has a better back sound quality then it should be as good.

Got this DAV-HDX589W Home Theater system a couple days ago, and it just blows me away. The sound is amazing, the sub really kicks out deep bass, its looks great and the picture is crystal clear also. The rear wireless has been flawless, microwave, cordles phone does not interfere with it at all. I have this system in a medium room and sounds wonderful. Has a 5 dvd/cd changer, am/fm tuner, ipod cradle included, input in front for headphones and mp3 player, hdmi, component, composite video out and coaxil and optical input also.The romote is not universal but works only for Sony Bravia lcd's only. For the price, i recommend this unit to everyone.
